Corporate governance
Corporate governance is the set of rules, customs, processes and institutions by which a corporation is directed, administered and managed. Corporate governance affects relationships among stakeholders and the goals for which the corporation is run. These stakeholders include shareholders, management, the board of directors as well as employees, suppliers, customers, banks, other lending institutions, regulators, the environment and the wider community.
In 2006, SES was part of the working group set up by the Luxembourg Stock Exchange to draw up the Ten Principles of Corporate Governance, which were then adopted by the Stock Exchange. As a company also listed on the Euronext Paris, SES also complies with French corporate governance rules.
